Volunteers needed at Pocklington-based Wolds Wonders drama group
The Wolds Wonders drama group is on the look-out for new volunteers.
This Pocklington-based charity was set up to help adults with learning and other disabilities meet their dream of being on the stage, whilst at the same time building confidence and social skills.
Since 2009, members have been entertaining audiences to great acclaim with a production at least once a year at Pocklington Arts Centre where they meet every Wednesday.
Its members can’t wait to get back to the real-life theatre environment where, supported by a professional drama tutor and volunteers, they develop their own scripts, songs and dance.
A group spokesman said: “No stage experience or talent is required – just a love of fun and people and maybe the ability to make a good cup of tea!
“There are also opportunities to get involved with our website (www.woldswonders.btck.co.uk), fund raising and much more behind the scenes.
“DBS checks and any training undertaken is paid for by the charity. For an informal chat about how you might get involved, please contact either Ged on 07813 156346 or Martine on 07872 186632.”
