Sunday Brunch event organised by Wolds Pride
The Wolds Pride team is continuing its programme of support and social events for members of the LGBTQIA+ community living and working in the Yorkshire Wolds with The Acronym Sunday Brunch.
The first of the brand new monthly networking and social events will take place on Sunday (May 23), 11am to 1pm online, with organisers eventually planning to host the social events in person on the fourth Sunday of every month.
Wolds Pride founder and chair Adam Tipping said: “Our online events have so far proved to be really popular and have really engaged with members of the LGBTQIA+, so we are really excited to be rolling out a brand new event with the aim of nurturing and expanding connections with the local community.
“The Acronym Sunday Brunch is the perfect opportunity to have a chat over a cuppa and make new friends from within the Wolds LGBTQIA+ community.
“It will provide a safe space where everyone is welcome and encouraged to express themselves fearlessly and ferociously, free from judgement or discrimination.”
The Acronym Sunday Brunch is the latest in a series of successful online events, seminars and workshops held by Wolds Pride.
The event is for those aged 18 and over only, is free to attend, but booking is essential. Book your place at www.eventbrite.co.uk/d/online/wolds-pride. To keep up to date with all things Wolds Pride visit www.woldspride.com
It is hoped that a Wolds Pride event will take place in Pocklington in August in what will be the first event of its kind for this area featuring a dynamic programme of live music, dance, educational opportunities, workshops, and talks based in and around Pocklington Arts Centre.
