South Cave route closed for roadworks

A South Cave road has been closed for resurfacing work.

Willow Flats in South Cave is being resurfaced by East Riding Council’s streetscene services in a £109,000 scheme.

East Riding Council’s streetscene services started work worth £109,000 on the village’s Willow Flats on Monday, January 18.

The works to replace the road’s surface and paint new markings are taking place during daylight hours and will last two weeks.

Council Enhancing Communities portfolio holder Gary McMaster said: “We would like to thank motorists and residents in advance for their patience while we carry out this work. The work is essential to improve the highway surface for all road users.”

Signed traffic diversions are set to be in place through Ellerker Lane and Brough Lane in South Cave and Cave Lane, Main Street, Howden Croft Hill, Ring Beck and Brough Road in Ellerker.
