Pocklington FC needs to collect as many responses/letters/emails/pictures or videos of support from its players and parents by Monday, February 22.

The forward-thinking club is hoping to install a bore hole and irrigation system.

This will lead to improved pitch maintenance, create better quality pitches, enhance the playing experience, and offer greater carrying capacity to support team growth and community use.

It is also looking to modernise the floodlighting system.

This will let the club upgrade its floodlighting by replacing metal halide lights with LEDs, thus reducing demand on power supply while cutting CO2 emissions and light pollution.

However, part of the club’s bid requires it to ask the local community for support.

A club spokesman said: “In order to be considered for the community funding, we need community backing.

“We need to collect as many responses/letters/emails/pictures or videos of support from our players and parents by Monday, February 22.

“Please help us by filling in the online form to show your support.

“For younger responders a drawing, photo of a letter or short video would be a great way to show support for the club project.”
