Hunt for Easter Eggs to bring joy at the area’s food banks
The East Riding Food Poverty Alliance (ERFPA), a partnership of organisations providing food bank provision that includes the People’s Pantry in this area, has started a campaign to collect Easter eggs ahead of the holiday.
Natalie Taylor-Robinson, at ERFPA, said: “The East Riding Easter Bunny is making his way around our communities to ensure all the good girls and boys get an Easter Egg this year. If you would like to help the bunny stock up the food banks across the East Riding you can donate by contacting [email protected] or your local food bank.
“People can find their local food bank by visiting www.erfpa.org.uk if they would like to donate or alternatively need our help.”
Meanwhile, the alliance has been working in partnership with East Riding of Yorkshire Council to provide a half term food and activity pack which will be distributed to eligible children across the area’s communities from Monday, March 29.
Natalie added: “There is limited availability and all food packs must be booked in advance and will be allocated on a first-come first-serve basis.
“You will be able to book your food and activity pack via our click and collect service which will be launched on Saturday, March 27 via our website www.erfpa.org.uk.”
