Family pays tribute to man who died in A1079 road traffic collision

The family of the man who died on the A1079 Hull Road on Thursday, April 22 have paid tribute to him.

A police spokesman said: “Following a road traffic collision between an HGV and Ambulance on the A1079, Hull Road, at 3.30pm on Thursday, April 22 we are now able to name the man who sadly died as 62-year-old Trevor Bailey."

A police spokesman said: “Following a road traffic collision between an HGV and Ambulance on the A1079, Hull Road, at 3.30pm on Thursday, April 22 we are now able to name the man who sadly died as 62-year-old Trevor Bailey.

“Trevor’s family have asked for their privacy to be respected at this difficult time whilst dealing with their loss

“We are appealing for any witnesses who have not yet spoken to us to get in touch.

“If you saw either the collision itself, the vehicles prior to the collision or if you have dash-cam footage showing the ambulance or the HGV prior to the collision.”

Paying tribute to Mr Bailey, his family said: “Trevor was a devoted family man who would do anything to help people. We have been overwhelmed with the messages of support. Trevor was loved by so many and will be dearly missed.”
