The Old School House Day Nursery raised £2,135 for Dove House.

Traditionally there are many ways for children’s nurseries to raise money for charity such as bake sales and non-uniform days.

However, the nursery children wanted to do something different this time around.

Sally Rustomji, nursery director, said: “The children learnt about the Bunny Run for Dove House The Bunny Run was a perfect event for all the nursery children and babies to be involved within as they could all run, walk, skip, hop or crawl – the choice was theirs.

Having fun at the nursery.

“It was fun for all ages.

“So, every day on the back field the children put on their bunny ears and hopped their way around an obstacle course followed by the staff all in aid of Dove House.

“Originally, we had hope to raise £500.00 which was a big ask, but through the generosity of our parents, staff and local community we raised £2,135 – wow – we were amazed and delighted.

“The generosity of everyone that donated was astounding and I would like to thank everyone and the support we received in our fundraising has shown that the community will come together to help each other and raise money for a good cause.”
