Pensioners enjoyed a chat and a drink at an elders’ party in Wilberfoss.
The event, which about 65 people attended, was held at The Pavilion in the village last Sunday. The party was a chance for pensioners to catch up with old friends and meet new people.
It featured live entertainment from a three-piece band called Recycled, from Beverley.
The parish council have decided to restart the event after no elders’ party was held in the village last year.
Wilberfoss parish councillor Chris Clegg said: “The feedback was really positive. They were happy to have it restarted after a gap last year.
“We are hoping to hold the next one in the summer.”
See this week’s paper (28 January) for more pictures from the event.
