This weekend sees the return of a popular family event in the Pocklington and district calendar.
The annual Barmby Moor Feast weekend will be held from Friday 13 July to Sunday 15 July.
The actual feast day is on the Saturday (14 July) at Barmby Moor Playing Fields.
The day starts with a parade around the village from 12:30pm, starting at Barmby Moor Village Hall.
The parade will include trolleys that are being decorated by residents and community groups in and around the village.
The event will be officially opened at 1pm by the guest of honour Ron Smith and the Feast Queen Niamh Cusack followed by judging of the best decorated trolley.
At the Playing Fields, there will be a variety of entertainment and stalls including; live music, pet show, bungee trampoline, kids magician, balloon artist, Barmby Bouncers, golf competition, tombola, local food stalls, Autograss display, bar, BBQ, and much more!
In addition to the Feast day, there will be further entertainment at the Boot and Slipper on Sunday 15 July and the Victorian Fun Run on Friday 13 July.
Anyone who would like to express their interest in participating in the Fun Run can get details at the Boot and Slipper Pub in Barmby Moor.
A spokesman for the event said: “We are excited to announce that in addition to the above entertainment, Granny Turismo will be attending to provide entertainment throughout the feast day.
“Granny Turismo are a shopping trolley dance and display team. You may have seen them on social media strutting their stuff. We welcome everyone to come down to the feast day and join in with the celebrations.
“Entry to Barmby Feast includes a free wristband which can be purchased in advance.
“The cost is £2.50 for adults, £1.50 for OAPs (under 16s get in free).
