An aspiring West End star was left “gobsmacked” when a mystery man handed her a sealed envelope containing £100 in cash while she was fundraising to help her achieve her dream.
Livvy Rooks, 14, of The Mile, Pocklington, recently received half a scholarship to attend a top London stage school and needs to find £5,000 before September to make up the other half for just one year.
She would then have to raise another £5,000 to attend the Barbara Speake Stage School for a second year while she completes her GCSEs.
While holding a tombola at Pocklington Sainsbury’s in The Balk, the Woldgate College pupil was handed an envelope from a man she did not know, and much to her surprise, it contained £100.
