A Melbourne mum has donated £250 to the special care baby unit who cared for her son when he was born 9 weeks early.
Caroline Dickson started a raffle to raise money for the Special Care Baby Unit at York Hospital at the Melbourne Arms, where she worked before setting up her business, Younique.
Her son Jacob was born 9 weeks premature when Caroline contracted pneumonia.
With donations such as a bottle of wine and Christmas presents to a free MOT at a nearby garage, the raffle was a huge success and raised £250.
Caroline, 30, said: “ Jacob got shown around the different rooms he was in on the ward and got to have our photo done with the nurses who looked after him all them years ago. I’d like to say thank you to everyone who donated and bought a raffle ticket.”
