Humberside Police has started an investigation after a motorcyclist died in a serious road traffic collision on the A614 on Thursday evening just before 8:30pm.

The collision happened as the rider of the black Harley Davidson motorcycle travelled along the A614 from the direction of Water towards the Londesborough roundabout.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 50s, sustained fatal injuries when his motorcycle collided with a blue New Holland tractor and a silver coloured Kia Ceed.

The A614 was closed between Middleton on the Wolds and the roundabout at Londesborough Road to enable emergency services to attend.

A police spokesman said: “We are appealing for information to establish the circumstances of the collision.

“We would ask any witnesses who have not spoken to police to call us We would also like to hear from anyone who saw the Harley Davidson motorcycle prior to the incident to get in touch by calling 101 referring to log 548 of 3 May 2018.”
