Celebrations are continuing at Drewton’s Farm Shop near South Cave which has been shortlisted for a top national award.

The shopping and dining venue will be flying the flag for Yorkshire at the finals of the Visit England Awards for Excellence 2013 in the ‘Taste of England’ category.

The business will definitely receive either a Gold, Silver, Bronze or Highly Commended award, but will not find out the outcome until the awards ceremony on 20 May.

It comes after Drewton’s homemade sausage rolls, pork pies and stuffed breakfast mushrooms all won Gold Awards at the BPEX ‘Food Service Pork Product of the Year’ competition recently.

Owner Katie Taylor said: “We’re always thrilled to be shortlisted for any award, but to be representing Yorkshire in such a high profile, national tourism award scheme is a dream come true.

Drewton’s joins Elvington’s Yorkshire Air Museum in the finals of the Visit England Awards. The museum has been shortlisted in the Tourism Experience of the Year category.
