An apple juice produced by a company in Melbourne has wowed judges at a prestigious food and drink awards, just a few months after the founder of the business died.
Yorkshire Wolds Apple Juice, based in Melbourne, was awarded three stars at the Great Taste Awards, which involves more than 400 judges and thousands of hours of blind tasting.
The company was set up six years ago by Ray Kirby, who died in May this year aged 60. Ray decided to enter his traditional apple juice blend in to the food awards scheme, but was sadly not around to receive the accolade at an awards dinner recently at the Royal Gardens Hotel, London.
