Dig out those bobby-socks, leathers and drainpipes because Pocklington Lions Club are preparing to put on a musical night to remember in aid of charity.
Grease the Musical will take place at Pocklington Arts Centre raising money for Martin House Hospice, Heart Research UK, Yorkshire Cancer Research and Pocklington Arts Centre.
To promote the event Lions Club members Graham Gillyon, Richard Knill appeared with “Sandy” Niki Garnett-White for a photo shoot with two American muscle cars in Pocklington.
The film starts at 7pm on 28 June with song lyrics, soda pop and hot dogs, followed by Sheppy’s Retro Disco and people are encouraged to dress up.
Graham Gillyon, president of Pocklington Lions club, said: “Grease is very popular and everyone knows the songs and the movie. It’ll be a fun event for people of all ages and it’s a good excuse to get dressed up.”
Tickets cost £13.50 and are available by calling the Arts Centre box office on 01759 301547 or visit www.pocklingtonartscentre.co.uk.
