Lifestylers’ ‘selfless acts of charity’

Community-minded youngsters have been congratulated on their “selfless acts of charity” after raising vital funds for a food bank project.

Holly Wise and Amber Wood, both aged 11, have held a number of fundraising activities as part of this year’s Humberside Police Lifestyle challenge, including a raffle. They have also sold cupcakes, art and craft items.

The duo, from Holme-on-Spalding Moor, decided to donate the money they raised to The Life Centre, on Market Weighton’s High Street, to support its food bank project.

In total, they raised £250. They also distributed leaflets in Holme-on-Spalding Moor about The Life Centre.
