Just like to add a couple of extra points regarding bus subsidy cuts (Pocklington Post September 8 edition).
Bus users on the 195 service often use this bus to visit the doctors on West Green.
This bus stops right outside the medical centre, so bus users make appointments to fit in with this service.
After the recent library consultation mobile libraries which visit villages on both the 199 and 195 bus routes will only be calling once a month, instead of twice weekly, with both buses stopping right opposite the Library/Customer Service Centre in Pocklington this is another good reason for keeping both services.
I am currently organising a petition calling for the bus subsidies to remain for the 199, 196 and 195 services. To join the campaign email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 07500471496.
