A church in Pocklington has lined up a weekend to celebrate the activities and life of the church.
All Saints’ Church will be hosting the event on October 30, 31 and November 1 with an opportunity for the public to enjoy the beautiful church.
The programme of events start on the Friday with a concert by the Celebration Singers at 7.30pm with a performance of the comic operetta, The Sorcerer, by Gilbert and Sullivan.
On the Saturday there will be a display of arts and crafts from 10am, including silk and felt work, spinning, embroidery display, art, table flower arrangements, cake decorations, face painting and other skills to have a go at!
Tower tours are also available for anyone wanting to climb the many steps to the bell ringer’s platform, the belfry and then enjoy the wonderful views over the town ofPocklington.
Also on the Saturday there will be a coffee morning and lunches will be available and later ater in the afternoon there will be a childrens party at 4pm.
A wine and cheese evening coupled with entertainment by the folk band Foggelsyke will round off Saturday’s events.It will commence at 7.30pm.

There will be a special family service at 10.45 am on Sunday to celebrate the life of the church.This will be followed by a bring and share lunch.
The celebration weekend will close with a rousing choral evensong at 6pm.
