The Pocklington Women’s Institute (WI) group that meets on the second Wednesday of every month at 7.15pm in the Masonic Hall is welcoming new members as a result of more people moving into the area.
It has come to the popular group’s attention that a number of women would welcome the chance to attend an afternoon meeting.
In reaction to this development an information session will be held at St Mary and St Joseph’s Church Hall on Percy Road on Monday 26 March at 1.30pm.
A spokeswoman for the WI said: “The group is great place for women to have some ‘me time’, engage in community affairs, and enjoy meeting new people.
“Come along to see how you can get involved and meet new friends. Tea and cakes will be provided.
“Please contact 01759 302658 for more details about the group’s activities.”
