Hospice organising Paws for Cause walk

St Leonard’s Hospice, which now has a support group in Pocklington, is hosting its annual Midnight Walk this Saturday (9 June).

There are already more than 600 of walkers signed up and the hospice is encouraging more people to come and join in the fun.

Starting from York College, the royal-themed walk is around seven miles long, taking in the Knavesmire, Bishopthorpe Road, Rowntree Park, York City Centre before heading up Tadcaster Road.

Katie Jackson, events fundraiser at St Leonard’s Hospice, said “The event is open to all. Please wear red, white and blue if you can.”
