A teenager from Pocklington with a life-limiting condition recently had her wish of a luxury holiday abroad granted by a children’s charity.
Sydney Hathway, 13, suffers from cystic fibrosis, a condition that severely affects the major organs, particularly the lungs.
Her condition is managed with a cocktail of medication, physiotherapy and nebulizer devices.
Despite her condition, Sydney has always remained bright and positive.
She is very outgoing and loves spending time with friends and family. She enjoys singing and would love to be a songwriter when she grows up.
Sydney has always wanted to have a luxury holiday abroad, sunbathe and have fun.
So when she was referred to Starlight Children’s Foundation for a wish it did not take her long to decide what she would choose ... a sunny holiday in Spain.
