The headmaster of Pocklington School Mark Ronan will leave the Foundation at the end of the calendar year after a highly successful 11 years.

He has been appointed principal of the King’s Hospital School in Dublin from January 2019.

Tim Stephenson, chair of governors at Pocklington School, said: “We will miss Mark’s strong leadership and his enduring contribution to the current success of the Pocklington School Foundation, inspiring our pupils for life and ensuring they achieve the results they deserve in every area of their endeavour.

“We congratulate Mark on his new role, and wish both him and Fiona every success and happiness in Ireland.”
