Have your say on how to save £60million

East Riding Council has announced it must save £60million over the next four years and is asking local residents to have their say on how best to spend its money.

The council, which provides a wide range of services, faces a conundrum as to which ones to cut - whether its alcohol treatment programmes or subsidized bus services or recycling schemes or play areas in parks, among many other services. Leader of the council, Coun Stephen Parnaby OBE, said: “It’s always interesting to hear how residents feel we should prioritise spending and we feel it’s important to involve them and feed their opinions into our budget-setting process.” Give your views at www.eastriding.gov.uk/budgeteventarticle
