The resonant sound of handbells rang out at All Saints’ Church in Market Weighton.
The Market Weighton Handbell Ringers held their annual ‘Music and Mince Pies’ concert at All Saints’, which raised £285 for church funds.
As well as music by the handbell ringers, there were monologues and Yorkshire dialect poems from John Speak. Avril Charlton, the group’s leader, read two Scottish poems and the concert ended with a rendition of ‘The 12 Days of Christmas’, in which the whole audience took part.
Janet Peacock, secretary of the group, said: “Thank you to all who helped to make the concert a success.”
