Plans to build a 32,000 bird free range egg production building with associated infrastructure in a nearby village have received the green light from planners at East Riding Council.
The application site comprises agricultural land on the south side of Carr Lane to the east of Newton-on-Derwent. The associated infrastructure includes access improvements, access road, hardstanding for parking and turning, two feed bins and a manure trailer canopy. The planning application went before the council’s western area planning sub-committee recently. It was approved subject to the conditions set out in the report by the council’s director of planning and economic regeneration, Alan Menzies
