Following an appeal for old photographs in the Down Memory Lane section, John Warcup (ex Forth’s Printers owner) sent in this excellent image of a Christmas event at the Buck Hotel in Pocklington in 1938.

One of the people in the picture is Mr Warcup’s late uncle Bob Harrison’s uncle Billy Harrison late of Nunburnholme. Mr Warcup said: “They look a bit like Laurel and Hardy enjoying themselves.”
