An event of great vintage has been created to raise funds for Dove House Hospice.
The charity has announced its first ever Wine Dash – a sure fire way to enjoy a grape day out.
Working with the Little Wold Vineyard at South Cave, and kindly sponsored by House of Townend, the charity will run the Wine Dash on Saturday 23 June.
The dash will take people through approximately 5km of vineyard, hills and countryside with views only interrupted by four wine stations.
Fundraising co-ordinator Anita Brien said: “With four wine stations from across the world, along with nibbles to keep you going and something sparkling as you cross the finish line, it’s a great chance to get friends and family together this summer for a walk with a difference.
“Every step and sip you take will enable Dove House Hospice be there for every family that needs our support.
“We’re really excited for this brand new event on our calendar and to be working with the Little Wold Vineyard and House of Townend. It’s set to be a fantastic day out and something a little different. It’s the only Wine Dash in the region and we hope lots of local people join us.
“Without events like this, supported by our local community, we wouldn’t be able to continue adding life to days when days can no longer be added to life for people living with life limiting illnesses in Hull and East Yorkshire.”
