Good turn out at Methodist choir event

A special concert has been held at Pocklington Methodist Chapel to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the rebuilding of the chapel.

The Pocklington Methodist Circuit Choir sang a variety of works at the concert, which was well attended.

Hannah Stevenson sang a solo and Sue Anthony played the flute.

Then the audience were treated to The Entrance of the Queen of Sheba played by accompanist Andrew Watt.

Norma Jennings and Anne Hodgson read poetry and the choir included selections from My Fair Lady and Oliver as well as several religious works and finished with the Irish Blessing, and the anthem Lord Give Me Faith.
