An ambitious drama collaboration between the Market Weighton Community Players and local radio station Vixen 101 has been launched on the airwaves of East Yorkshire.
The first of a four-part series of the Inspector Frost thriller, ‘Cat’s Cradle’, was first aired last week and is now available to download from www.vixen101.co.uk.
In the Leslie Sands play, adapted for radio by Helen Lawley of the Players, Frost who is played by David Senior, returns to Waverton Magna to re-open an unsolved child murder case, but he faces a conspiracy of silence from the locals.
Helen, who also produced the play, said: “It was an ambitious production to do but the results are brilliant and it’s great that our team of actors can have such an opportunity to broadcast our work on community radio through Vixen 101.”
In part two, Frost continues in his pursuit of the truth about six-month-old Matthew Fulton’s disappearance 12 years ago. Each episode can be heard on Sundays at 6pm and the following Tuesday at 8pm on 101.8FM, on www.vixen101.co.uk and on smartphones.
