Families across the region are being invited to attend fun-filled play sessions in Market Weighton.
The ‘Munchkins’ playgroup, held weekly at The Life Centre, on the High Street, has been running for almost five years. It offers a warm friendly, supportive, relaxed play time for families.
The group works in partnership with parents to help children develop their physical, social, creative and emotional skills through play.
Pastor Dr Alex Appiah, chief executive of the centre, “It provides children with the opportunity to make new friends and to play with others besides their own siblings. Our play sessions provide children the opportunity to learn valuable skills, such as how to share, take turns and role-play. We engage children and parents in crafts and other fun structured activities.
“Munchkins playgroup provide parents a chance to make new friends and form supportive lifelong network.”
He added: “All of our parents and toddlers are made to feel very welcome and at home by our committed volunteers who run the group. If you’re parent, grannie or a carer who looks after a toddler and are looking for somewhere to have good interactive time with others you will love the atmosphere and sessions on Mondays.”
The play sessions are held on Mondays from 9.30am - 12.30pm.
