Free Rabbit Health Checks Available Across the UK in Support of Rabbit Awareness Week

Rabbit Awareness Week (RAW) 2012 kicks off on 15 September, and organisers are calling on UK rabbit lovers to support this year’s awareness campaign by taking their bunny for a free health check.

The 2012 RAW campaign is focusing on the importance of regular vet health checks and vaccinations, to protect one of Britain’s most popular small pets from two painful and potentially fatal diseases, myxomatosis and Rabbit Haemorrhagic Disease (RHD).

The good news is that RAW is promoting free health checks for all rabbits across the country and is urging owners to head to to find their nearest vet practice, retailer or rescue centre who is offering free consultations in support of the initiative.

This year’s RAW supporters include Burgess Excel, MSD Animal Health, RSPCA, PSDA, Blue Cross, Wood Green The Animals Charity and RWAF (Rabbit Welfare Association & Fund).
