Pocklington’s Fairtrade and Local produce Action Group (FLAG) will be holding a special event ahead of Fairtrade Fortnight which is held between Monday 26 February to Sunday 11 March.
The group will be joining the usual coffee morning at Pocklington’s All Saints Church next Tuesday 13 February between 9.30am and 11.30am. They will be serving toast and Fairtrade toppings in addition to the usual fare.
Bread, milk and butter will be sourced from local producers. There will also be Fairtrade goods to buy and a film showing about fair trade.
Judith Micklem, chair of the group, said: “Pocklington FLAG helped to achieve Fairtrade Town status for Pocklington in 2009, and in order to maintain this status it continues to promote fair trade in the town.
“We are proud to be part of a community which supports this vital cause.
“Please come along and support the event. You will be made most welcome.”
