St John the Evangelist Church: Stamford Bridge Singers will perform a concert of Christmas music and readings at 7.30pm. The music will be a mixture of carols, hymns and other well-loved festive favourites, with opportunities for the audience to join in. The concert will be conducted by Stuart Nettleship and the Accompanist will be Jayne Nesbitt. Tickets, priced at £10 (£5 for children) will include refreshments. Village wide: Derwent Lions’ Christmas ‘Rocking Rudolph’ sleigh will be visiting the village from 6.30pm (dependent on weather and operational capability). Pocklington

All Saints Church: British Heart Foundation is hosting a Carol Service entitled “Sing your Hearts out for Christmas” at 6.30pm. 
The mayor and the district scouts, cubs and beavers will be attending. Donations are for the BHF and All Saints Church Refreshments including mince pies and mulled wine will be served at the back of the church at the end of the evening. All very welcome to attend.

Pocklington Arts Centre: Punchline Christmas Comedy Gala – Join us at 7.30pm for an amazing night of diverse, dynamic and downright hilarious live comedy from Tom Houghton, Tom Binns and Lee Ridley aka Lost Voice Guy. MC for the night will be Comedy Club and festival regular Paul Pirie.

15 December

Londesborough

Londesborough Hall: Traditional Christmas Fair. Join a fun-filled traditional fair in aid of St Leonard’s Hospice, Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Londesborough Church between 1pm and 4pm. Father Christmas will be attending. Children will also be given a map to go on a festive treasure hunt around Londesborough Hall. Other attractions include a Hurdy Gurdy, carol singers, tombola, raffle, craft stalls, Christmas gift stalls, mulled wine and a variety of refreshments.

17-21 Piccadilly: The Stamford Bridge Community Choir will be performing between 1pm and 3pm in aid of Macmillan York.

16 December

Pocklington

Arts Centre: Sleeping Beauty – Festive family fun packed with songs, slapstick, silliness, audience participation, and all the fairy tale magic of traditional pantomime from Talegate Theatre at 2.30pm. 2.30pm. Tickets £9, £8 (under 21) and £31 (family ticket).

Bishop Wilton

St Edith’s Church: The Garrowby Singers will be performing a concert at 4pm. Tickets for the concert are £5 - payable on the door. Proceeds from the Christmas concert go to the Benefice. There will be Mulled wine, Mince Pies etc available.

All Saints Church: The Carers Support Group meets on the second Wednesday of each month, 1.30pm to 3pm. It is for anyone who cares for a loved one and is an informal group to give the carers a break. This is free of charge as the Church donates the room. 
The Community Hall, Station Road: Market Weighton Memory Cafe is held on the last Wednesday of every month, 1.30pm-3pm.

Social Club, 42 Southgate: The National Vintage Tractor and Engine Club meetings are held on the first Wednesday of the month at 7:30pm. New members are welcome.
