A father and son team from Market Weighton are gearing up for a two-week trip to Uganda where they will be getting their hands dirty at a vehicle workshop in need of help.
Mechanic David Beadle and his son Jack will be staying at Kagando Rural Development Centre, which is just four miles north of the equator and situated in the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains.
Kagando started 50 years ago as a hospital serving the people in a rural part of western Uganda and is run by the Church of Uganda.
Associated with the hospital is a community health programme, demonstration farm, a training school for nurses.
