Models strutted their stuff on the catwalk last Friday to raise funds for Market Weighton Community Hall.
Organised by The Edinburgh Woollen Mill Shop at Langlands Garden Centre in Shiptonthorpe, the fashion show was held at the community hall and raised £135, which will go towards replacing chairs in the hall.
Stephen King, chairman of the hall, said: “We had about 35 people there. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it.
“The models were all amateurs. They did very well. There was good interaction between the models and the audience.”
He added: “Langlands Garden Centre provided decorations, flowers and plants, for which we are very grateful.”
The Weighton Waytes choir will be performing at the community hall on 8 December at 2pm, with funds again going towards replacing the hall’s chairs.
