Fantastic family fun on the canal

A great day of sunshine and events provided the perfect ingredients for visitors to the Wildlife Open Day at Melbourne Arm Moorings on Sunday (24 June).

There were lots of activities to keep families happy including a chance to learn fishing, willow weaving, pond dipping bird and bat box building, boat trips and much more.

The Pocklington Canal event was organised by the Canal and River Trust and saw a stream of visitors with all volunteers sharing their knowledge.
