The marriage between Elizabeth Fairfield, youngest daughter of Driffield Town Crier Brian, and Mrs Barbara Fairfield, and Mr James Drury, son of Judith and Rev Stephen Drury, formerly of East Ayton, took place on Saturday August 18 at St John the Baptist Church, East Ayton.
The bride wore a stunning ivory Justin Alexander dress, her three elder sisters were bridesmaids wearing moss green, knee length dresses and five little nieces were in ivory short dresses. The best man was Matt Neville, a university friend of the groom’s, ring bearers were nephews aged two and three, one wearing a kilt.
Elizabeth works as an operating department practitioner at Scarborough Hospital and James is a lecturer at Scarborough College. They will live in Scarborough.
The bride was given away by her father Brian and the ceremony was performed by the groom’s father, Rev Stephen Drury. A reception was held at The Downe Arms, Wykeham. They will have a honeymoon in Mexico in April of 2013.
