A swimming club in Pocklington is inviting all former members to turn back the clock and take part in a gala and reminisce about their exploits for the club, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
Pocklington Dolphins, based at East Riding Leisure Francis Scaife sports centre, is celebrating 50 years of existence in conjunction with the centre.
A gala will be held at the swimming pool on 11 July, with a variety of events set to take place, and ex-members are invited to attend.
So if have been one of the hundreds of swimmers who have swum for the Dolphins, dig out your trunks or costumes and email Alan Kendra at firstname.lastname@example.org and he will forward you a programme of events so you can enter. The club is also looking for any memorabilia you may have from your time with the club to put on display during the Open Weekend at Francis Scaife on 11 and 12 July. The Dolphins will hold a 50th anniversary hog roast for past and present members at Pocklington Rugby Club, on Percy Road, on 11 July, from 7pm.
Tickets cost £10 for adults, £5 for children and are available from Pocklington Dolphins on any club night.
