England rugby union head coach Stuart Lancaster visited Pocklington to make the draw for Yorkshire’s oldest rugby seven-a-side tournament.
Lancaster did the draw for this year’s Pock 7s in Pocklington Rugby Club’s clubhouse, on Percy Road, last Sunday. The 57th John Smith’s Pock 7s gets underway in Pocklington on Friday (3 April). Old Pocklingtonians, the Pocklington School old boys side, were first out of the hat to meet Bridlington at 1pm. Six hours of non-stop sevens rugby follows with the final scheduled for 6.40pm.
For more information about the Pock 7s tournament see this week’s (2 April) Pocklington Post.
