Two rugby enthusiasts and Pocklington School pupils and have been successful in being selected for their respective divisions at under-16 level.
Elliot Adamson has been selected for the Midlands under-16 Rugby Squad and Ben Carlile for the North of England under-16 Squad.
Elliot plays fly-half and has been a regular member of a successful 1st XV this season. He is also in the Leicester academy and represented Nottingham, Lincolnshire and Derbyshire at County level.
Ben plays prop and is in the schools under-15a team. He is also in the Yorkshire Carnegie Junior Development Squad and played for the county at under-16 level. What is even more astonishing about this achievement is that Ben is a year young and will have another opportunity next year to push for higher honours!
Both boys went through a vigorous trial process and will now trial for England under-16 at the prestigious Wellington festival in March. This is a huge honour for the boys and testament to their hard work and dedication. We are delighted with their achievements and wish them the best of luck in pushing for England selection.
