Pocklington School pupil Oliver Rayner has been selected for the Yorkshire under-15 Rugby squad and will play in games versus Lancashire and Chesire in February and March.
Oliver plays in the back row for the schools under-15a team and is a member of the Yorkshire Carnegie Junior Development Squad.
Sam Bunce has been selected for the Yorkshire under-17 Squad. Sam plays hooker for the 1st XV and has been instrumental in the success that the team has experienced this season. He has previously represented Yorkshire under-16 and hopes to continue his good form shown at 1st XV level for the county.
“It is great to see Pocklington School pupils getting recognised at the next level in rugby circles - it is testament to the hard work of both the pupils and coaching staff here at the school. We wish these boys all the best in representing the county.”
