A fundraising coffee morning was held by youngsters at a Pocklington primary school and nursery in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Children at Newlands School Yorkshire and Pocklington Montessori Nursery played the roll of waiting staff serving their guests with cakes.
As well as the coffee morning, the children have been growing daffodil bulbs since November, which were supplied by Marie Curie Care as part of its Mini Pots of Care scheme.
Helen Steele, from Newlands School Yorkshire, said: “This was a fun and creative way for the children to learn about caring and nurturing the plants and in doing so also learned to appreciate the importance of the Marie Curie nurses who provide support and care for their patients.
“A big thank you to the children, parents and the Marie Curie support staff for all their hard work. A grand total of £126 was raised.”
