Woldgate Headteacher calls it a day

The headteacher of Pocklington’s Woldgate College has resigned after 17 years at the helm of the school.

Jeff Bower has decided to retire after being off ill for the past two months. His resignation has been accepted by the governing body of the secondary school and sixth form.

During Mr Bower’s absence, Ian O’Donnell has acted as Executive Headteacher and will continue in his post until the end of this year.
