The role of Headteacher has many aspects to it, but I never imagined that ‘Traffic Warden’ would be one of them. Parking has been an issue for many schools over the years and it doesn’t seem to be getting any better.
Over the past week, I have witnessed feuding parents, accident near-misses and have received numerous email complaints.
The complaints usually come from local residents, bemoaning the way in which parents park across their drives or staff leave their cars in front of their houses. I am not sure what they expect me to do about these problems, but I do at least try to help.
