A village primary school has been praised by Ofsted inspectors who have rated the school as “good” following a recent inspection.
Bugthorpe Primary is ranked as good in all key areas in its latest Ofsted report, except personal development, behaviour and welfare, which inspectors rated as “outstanding.”
The report says that “pupils are confident and assured and display a happy and contented approach to learning” and that “their attitudes to learning are exceptional.”
Headteacher Angela Ekers commented: “We were delighted that the inspection agreed with our own evaluation of the school. In particular I am very pleased with his comments about our governors, who work tirelessly for the good of the school. Bugthorpe is a very special place, with a fantastic community and we all feel privileged to work here.”
