About 200 pupils from Wilberfoss Primary School took part in the annual Giant Walking Bus event organised by the charity Brake to raise awareness of the dangers of traffic.
They were among thousands of school kids across the country who marched for road safety from their school gates.
Pupils from foundation up to Year 6 walked around Wilberfoss wearing high-visibility jackets for the event.
Richard Bruton, from the school, said: “Walking to school is wonderful, taking traffic off the roads, easing congestion, reducing pollution and most importantly getting children used to walking and having independence.”
The march was organised and led by the school’s three road safety officers in Year 6.
