AN open day held at a local school attracted a large number of parents who got the chance to see their children at work.
Wilberfoss Primary School asked parents to come along and see the type of activities the children get involved in.
Some of the activities on the day included flamenco dancing, a maths challenge, tennis and watercolour painting.
The school’s headteacher, Sue Monkman, was pleased with how the day went.
“It was brilliant. A total success,” she said.
“We had a large number of parents throughout the day. The parents came to have a look at the school at work and the activities happening in the classrooms and events happening in the hall and school generally.
“We do it every year. It’s an opportunity for parents and other relations to come into school and see children at work and see teaching for a better idea to what is happening in school.”
