The new headteacher of Pocklington’s Woldgate College says he has been impressed by what he has seen at the school since taking charge, praising the quality of teaching and the commitment of pupils.
Jonathan Britton took over the helm of Woldgate at the start of this month, after previously working as deputy headteacher at Archbishop Holgate’s School in York.
Mr Britton, 39, said: “Mr Britton, 39, said: “I feel privileged, as headteacher, to see the many achievements of our students every day and to be part of this school community.
“The politeness, commitment, enthusiasm and talent of our pupils are very impressive. As headteacher, I am immensely proud of these young people.”
