With Christmas edging ever closer, pupils at Bishop Wilton Primary School have been working hard so those less fortunate will have something to look forward to on 25 December.

The school’s annual shoebox collection for Real Aid has seen 23 boxes, filled with presents and Christmas goodies, given to the charity.

Mary Lazenby, administration Officer at Bishop Wilton Primary, said: “We’re very pleased with 23 boxes it’s more then we collected last year.

“The school’s collection is organised by Sandie Clark a former teacher who now does voluntary work at the school, and all the boxes from around the region will be sent to Beverley to be shipped out in time for Christmas.”
