A WELL-LOVED family pet disappeared from a farm building at a time when there are fears of a rise in theft of dogs.

Molly, a family dog, owned by Mark Jackon at Grange Farm, Ulrome, was last seen on the farm on Wednesday 29 August.

She is an eight-year-old liver and white Springer Spaniel and has never before strayed from her home, having grown up on the farm.

Mr Jackson’s partner, Michelle Scholey, said: “At the end of the day they are your family, the family isn’t the same without her, it is just heart breaking.”

A spokesperson for Humberside Police, advised dog owners to get their dogs chipped and to keep them in secure premises.

Molly is recognised by a distingushing mark on her nose, caused by an accident involving barbed wire three years ago, and is microchipped.

The family are offering a reward for Molly and anyone who sees her can contact Michelle on 07709 341566.
